2012 Itinerary ~ With 4 Ports of Call Scheduled!

Along with days at sea for enjoying new friends, our special wine tastings and other activities, we will visit;
We will depart Ft. Lauderdale on November 11th.
Our first port of call is Half Moon Cay, Bahamas ~
Seventeen miles from the nearest neighbor, about 100 miles south of Nassau, in the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the cruise lines’ private islands. Nine miles of beach stretch along the vibrant blue waters in a crescent shape. Coconut palms dot the landscape. This is truly a nature preserve as Holland America takes great strides to maintain the ecosystem of this pristine island. In fact, only 45 acres of the 2,500 acre island have been developed. All parts of the island are accessible by a tram and hard-surfaced walkways connect each area.
We will visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica ~
Relax or get active on vacation in Ocho Rios, located in the "garden parish" of St. Ann on Jamaica's north coast. The area surrounding Ocho Rios is characterized by lush tropical forests, cliffs and waterfalls and there are plenty of natural and man-made attractions within short distance of the town to keep you occupied.
Strap on an oxygen tank because Ocho Rios is home to some excellent reefs for scuba diving. Spot scorpion fish, corals and nurse sharks at 40-foot Jack's Hall reef or take a boat to Devil's Reef with its deep 130-foot drop and barracuda, moray eels and ceros. Swim with dolphins at Dolphin Cove (dolphincovejamaica.com), a visitor attraction showcasing a family of Bottle Nose dolphins. Ocho Rios is most famous for Dunn's River Falls, a gently undulating cascade of water over rocks, two miles from the centre of town. Climb with a guide to the top of the falls or swim underneath the jets of water. Fern Gully is a rocky gorge filled with thick foliage that stretches four miles from Ocho Rios inland. Or visit the 5,000-feet-long Green Grotto Caves. If your tastes are more literary, check out Firefly, the holiday home of British playwright and composer Sir Noel Coward.
Next port is Georgetown, Grand Cayman ~
Grand Cayman is a relatively small island that is modern in every way, with almost perfect weather with an average of 80 degrees during the summer dropping to 75 degrees in the winter. With over 500 banks and hundreds of insurance companies located in the Cayman Islands, it is the fifth largest economy in the world. Besides its robust economic activities,
Grand Cayman has several things that are quite fun. First, take the time to explore George Town. It only takes an hour or so to wonder through it many stores and boutiques. If you are looking for some sunshine head out to 7 Mile Beach. Truly seven miles in length, 7 Mile Beach is perfect with lots of pure white sand and crystal clear tropical water.
Blue skies, wonderful turquois waters, and a warm sun will welcome you to Roatan, Honduras. Roatan is an island with various beaches, distinctive for their quietness, and crystal clear waters that will make you enjoy the sea as if you were in an enormous natural swimming pool.
The coral reef that surrounds the island of Roatan is the second largest in the world. It is a source of permanent attraction and entertainment for those who enjoy scuba-diving. Easily available is the necessary training to join in an adventure through a marvelous underwater world, with all the appropriate safety and help. If deep scuba diving is not for you, try snorkeling in Roatan. It offers a view of marine life one will never forget.
